"Be active Be Free" (B.a.Be. - "Budi aktivna, budi emancipirana") initially focused on women's rights in Croatia. Nowadays, the organisation has broadened its remit to promoting gender equality and ensuring equal opportunities for all genders, in all domains of social life. Its president is Sanja Sarnavka

Their work includes:

• Advocacy and monitoring of legislature and policy around gender equality in Croatia
• Providing counselling, protection and psychosocial support to female victims of violence and their children
• Various programmes collaborating with EU institutions, e.g. promoting volunteering as a path into employment for minority groups
